Munich (April 2, 2010). This October, hospitalityInside will help given the industry a face, also for potential investment and finance partners with a joint hospitality stand at Europe''s leading commercial real estate trade fair, the Expo Real, in Munich. The joint stand, planned for the first time, will be open to hotel operators, investors, investment companies and project developers. The details.

"A joint appearance at the trade fair increases awareness for the entire industry and helps joint exhibitors to save time and money," hospitalityInside Managing Director Michael Willems explains of the move. At Expo Real Munich''s incitement, hospitalityInside will for the first time organise a joint stand with attractive design where - in the basis version - six exhibitors can make their presentations and receive guests. The size of the stand can be varied depending on demand.

Creating a point of contact

Up to now, only a small number of hotel operators have been represented with their own stands at the real estate fair. Many hotel groups, developers as financiers appear with their parent companies, at destination stands, stands of municipalities/cites or building companies. That a handsome number of representatives from the hospitality industry appear at the fair was seen last year at the exclusive evening event arranged by hospitalityInside "Bricks & Brains".

That interest in the hotel sector has always been and continues to be high can be seen when one looks at the visitor figures to the hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue". Last year, around 1,000 visitors were recorded at its peak - which made the event a very popular one at the trade fair.

In its new issue, the German insider publication "Der Fonds Brief" (Funds Letter) points out the positioning of Expo Real by comparison: "For the funds, the Mipim is not necessearily ''the place to be''. So, only a few initiators were seen at this year''s very sunny Mipim in Cannes. The Expo Real seems to be much more popular to them. Also, the current economical situation made many stay at home. In 2009, the fair management already registered 12,000 visitors less than in the boom year 2008. This year, the fair was able to repeat its 2009 results of 18,000 visitors though everybody felt that there were even less participants at the fairground." / kn
