Expo Real Hotel Conference: New names

Munich (September 7, 2012). The conference programme for the "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" (HID) on the first day of Expo Real trade fair in Munich is now complete. Over the last four weeks, more high-calibre participants have come on board. The programme for the two-hour opening discussion on finance is now fixed. Top executives from Starwood Capital and Hyatt will represent perspectives from the hotel industry.

The topic of finance runs through the entire conference programme for the real estate and investment fair this year. For this reason, finance and asset handling, the limits of development and contracts will also form a focus of the 11th hotel conference at Expo Real 2012. The trade fair will take place from October 8-10 in Munich. The HID will take place on Monday, October 8 in the "Special Real Estate" forum in Hall C2.

The day will begin at 10:30am with a two-hour non-stop session on finance with the title "Hotel Finance: Different Scenarios, Different Players?" Two bank representatives and a hotel specialist will sit on the panel as new experts. Christof Winkelmann, Managing Director Special Property Finance, will represent Aareal Bank and will explain its activities in international hotel finance. The finance perspectives for the German market will be set out by Uwe Niemann from Deutsche Hypothekenbank, a mortgage bank. As already reported in the last preview (see link below), Desmond Taljaard from Starwood Capital will also be present as will Michael Hartmann for Siemens Financial Services and the Real Estate Expert Prof. Werner Pauen.

There has also been some name changes in the development panel entitled "Development without Limits?". The German Managing Director, Michael Muecke, will now speak for Accor and B&B Hotels will be represented by Development Director Ian Biglands. There is also another new name present in the talk round on "Niche Hotels: Serviced Apartment and Student Apartments": Matthias Niemeyer, newly appointed Head of Development for Toga Hospitality, explains the priorities of the Australian company and its Adina Apartments.

The complete programme with all details and further information on participants can be found on the Expo Real website under this link. Changes in the composition of discussion round panels are also made clear there. / kn
